Barca Velha 1999 is one of the great icons of Portuguese wine and one of the most sought-after releases from Casa Ferreirinha. Produced only in exceptional years, Barca Velha represents the pinnacle of the historic house’s Douro winemaking. The 1999 vintage combines remarkable concentration with elegance and maturity, showing complex layers of dark fruit, spice, fine wood, tobacco and evolved tertiary notes. Its structure, balance and long finish have established it as an important collector’s vintage with excellent ageing credentials. This example is particularly attractive as a collector presentation, accompanied by a substantial wooden presentation case incorporating wine accessories. The photographs show a very clean bottle, intact capsule and well-preserved labels.
