Casa Ferreirinha Quinta da Leda — Five-Vintage Magnum Collection An impressive vertical collection of Quinta da Leda, one of Casa Ferreirinha’s benchmark Douro reds and a wine with a particularly important connection to the house’s flagship, Barca Velha. Produced from vineyards at Quinta da Leda in the Douro Superior, the wine represents the modern expression of Casa Ferreirinha: powerful and concentrated, but built around freshness, elegance and longevity. Traditional Douro varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinto Cão feature across the different vintages, with maturation in French oak. The five magnums provide an excellent opportunity to follow the evolution of Quinta da Leda across almost a decade, beginning with the mature 2011 and continuing through 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Magnum format is particularly desirable for long-term maturation because the larger volume of wine relative to the oxygen in the bottle generally allows slower development than a standard 75 cl bottle.
