Caymus Special Selection 2015 is the flagship Cabernet Sauvignon of one of Napa Valley’s most recognized estates and one of the most celebrated expressions of the rich, powerful California Cabernet style. Produced by the Wagner family at Caymus Vineyards, Special Selection represents a selection of the estate’s finest Cabernet lots. It is made only when Caymus believes the vintage reaches the standard required for its flagship bottling. The 2015 vintage is particularly impressive. Wine Spectator awarded it 95 points, highlighting its concentrated character of blackberry and plum, together with licorice, black tea, incense and chocolate notes, and recommended drinking through 2032. Rich, opulent and unmistakably Napa in style, the wine combines ripe dark fruit, considerable concentration, supple texture and persistent tannins. It is a Cabernet built both for luxurious drinking and further cellar development.
