Ian Macleod Distillers · Scotland · 700 ml
An expert physically inspected this bottle before approving the listing.
An exceptional mature Scotch and the pinnacle of the aged Isle of Skye range, this 30 Years Old expression represents three decades of patient maturation and the distinctive character of Scotland’s islands. Produced by Ian Macleod, Isle of Skye is a malt-rich blended Scotch combining characterful peated Island malts with carefully selected Speyside and Highland malts and grain whiskies. Every whisky entering this expression has been matured for a minimum of 30 years, creating remarkable depth while retaining the gentle maritime and smoky character associated with the blend. The mature profile brings together vanilla, seasoned oak, dried fruit and delicate floral notes, followed by malt sweetness, raisins, pastry-like richness and a restrained thread of smoke. The result is a remarkably composed old blend: elegant rather than aggressive, with the long maturation bringing softness, complexity and balance. Presented in its impressive original wooden presentation case, decorated with the outline of Skye’s dramatic Cuillin mountains, this is a striking collector’s presentation of one of the oldest expressions in the Isle of Skye range.

André Bicho
Raised in Portugal and educated in the United States, André has spent two decades moving between cultures, languages and cellars. His passion for fine wine and spirits began with the great Ports and table wines of his home country and grew into a wider fascination with the craft, history and provenance behind every great bottle. When he isn’t tasting or sourcing, he can be found driving the back roads of Europe in search of small producers and the stories behind their labels.
