Founded in 1878, James Martin & Co. built its reputation around carefully composed Scotch blends. This Fine & Rare expression was positioned at the prestigious end of the house’s range, created from a limited selection of Scotch whiskies matured for at least 20 years before blending and bottling. Presented in the distinctive heavy, sculpted glass decanter-style bottle, this example was blended and bottled in Scotland by James Martin & Co. Ltd., Broxburn, at 43% ABV. The bottle carries its original Portuguese fiscal/control strip and was distributed by Bacardi-Martini Portugal. Particularly desirable is the accompanying original wooden presentation case, making this a much more complete collector’s presentation than loose bottles commonly encountered on the secondary market.
