TAYLOR’S VICTORY PORT — 80 YEAR OLD TAWNY Limited Edition | Bottle Nº 0493 of 1,945 An extraordinary release from one of the great names of Port, Taylor’s Victory Port 80 Year Old Tawny was created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Released in 2025, this historic bottling is limited to just 1,945 individually numbered bottles worldwide, the production number deliberately referencing the year 1945. This particular example is Bottle Nº 0493 of 1,945. Victory Port is far more than a commemorative presentation. It is a genuine 80 Year Old Tawny Port, assembled from exceptionally rare reserves drawn from Taylor’s historic cellars. The individual components spent decades ageing in seasoned oak casks before being meticulously selected, blended and allowed to marry for several additional months, creating remarkable harmony and complexity. After eight decades of maturation, the wine displays extraordinary depth, with notes of molasses, caramel, coffee, golden raisins and cigar leaf, evolving into layers of nutmeg, gingerbread, anise, quince, black pepper, fig, plum pudding and apricot. Despite its immense age, the wine retains the freshness, acidity and elegance characteristic of the greatest old Tawny Ports. The release also holds particular significance in Portuguese wine history: it followed the establishment of the official 80 Year Old Tawny Port category, placing Victory among the pioneering releases representing this exceptional age designation. Presented in its bespoke original luxury wooden case, the bottle carries the commemorative Victory design and its individual number, creating a complete collector’s presentation. Founded in 1692, Taylor’s has spent more than three centuries building reserves of aged Port. Victory represents an opportunity to experience that history in liquid form — eight decades of maturation, released only once and limited to 1,945 bottles worldwide.

His passion for fine wine and spirits began with the great Ports and table wines of his home country and grew into a wider fascination with the craft, history and provenance behind every great bottle.
