Niepoort 1952 Port – Decanted 1984 – 750ml An exceptionally mature and highly collectible old Port from Niepoort, one of the historic names of the Douro and Port wine trade. Produced from the 1952 harvest, this remarkable bottle was subsequently decanted in 1984, after more than three decades of maturation. The label identifies it as bottled and shipped by Niepoort & Cª., Lda., Porto, Portugal, founded in 1842. Now more than 70 years from harvest, this is a fascinating piece of Portuguese wine history. Long-aged Ports of this generation are increasingly difficult to find, particularly in original older presentations such as this. The bottle retains its original aged label and capsule, displaying substantial natural patina consistent with its age. The label shows visible wear and staining but remains identifiable, including the important 1952 vintage and 1984 decanting date. Capsule shows age-related wear. Please refer carefully to the photographs for the exact condition and fill level.

André Bicho
Raised in Portugal and educated in the United States, André has spent two decades moving between cultures, languages and cellars. His passion for fine wine and spirits began with the great Ports and table wines of his home country and grew into a wider fascination with the craft, history and provenance behind every great bottle. When he isn’t tasting or sourcing, he can be found driving the back roads of Europe in search of small producers and the stories behind their labels.
