Granicera Perfil Especiado – Handcrafted Mexican Gin – 45% – 750ml

An unusual small-batch Mexican gin from Taller Astrafilia, a craft distillery based in Mexico City and dedicated to expressing Mexico’s extraordinary botanical diversity. Granicera begins with a distinctive spirit made from native Mexican corn from Chiapas, rather than the highly neutral grain base commonly used for gin. Juniper is combined with an extensive selection of regional botanicals sourced from small Mexican growers. The Perfil Especiado expression turns toward Mexico’s warmer, spicier flavours, highlighting cacao, hoja santa and cinnamon, complemented by botanicals including damiana, angelica, chamomile, lemon verbena, sage, lavender, rosemary, basil, liquorice, allspice and nutmeg. The result is a complex and distinctly Mexican interpretation of gin: juniper-driven but layered with cacao, aromatic herbs and warming spice. Production remains genuinely artisanal.
