Tapada de Coelheiros 2016 is a mature premium Alentejo red from Herdade de Coelheiros, an estate near Arraiolos whose flagship Tapada label dates back to 1991. Produced from Cabernet Sauvignon and Alicante Bouschet, the 2016 displays concentrated black fruit alongside notes of spice, tobacco, coffee and subtle balsamic and smoky nuances. The palate is structured and full-bodied, with developed tannins, freshness and a long, persistent finish. The 2016 vintage has received strong critical recognition; Portuguese wine publication Grandes Escolhas scored it 18/20, highlighting its character, freshness and long menthol-toned finish.
