A two-bottle lot of Quinta do Crasto Reserva Vinhas Velhas 2022, one of the estate’s benchmark Douro reds. Produced from a field blend of old vines averaging approximately 70 years of age, the wine represents the traditional viticultural heritage of the Douro. The back label confirms maturation for 18 months in French and American oak barrels, giving the wine additional structure, complexity and ageing potential. The 2022 shows the characteristic depth of old-vine Douro: concentrated dark and red fruit, floral and spice notes, well-integrated oak, firm but polished tannins and a persistent finish.
