Saturn Code 0.5 2013 is the third release in the highly exclusive Wines From Another World collection, an ambitious series bringing together exceptional terroirs and internationally renowned winemakers. Created in collaboration with legendary Mosel producer Ernst “Erni” Loosen, Saturn is a dry Riesling originating from Erdener Treppchen, one of the historic steep-slope vineyards of Germany’s Mosel Valley. Produced from ungrafted vines reported to be more than 130 years old, planted on the characteristic red slate soils of Erden, the wine underwent fermentation with indigenous yeast followed by an extraordinary eight years on its lees in Fuder. It was subsequently bottled without fining or filtration. Production was restricted to only 1,780 bottles in 750 ml format, alongside 60 magnums, making Saturn a genuinely limited collector release.
