Herdade do Sobroso Élevage 2022 – Tinto & Branco Presentation Set A striking two-bottle collection from Herdade do Sobroso, in Vidigueira, bringing together the red and white expressions of the estate’s prestigious Élevage project in their original presentation case. “Élevage” means creation or raising—the period during which a wine develops its character and reaches its full potential. Herdade do Sobroso applies the concept here through traditional clay-amphora ageing, connecting contemporary fine-wine production with one of the Alentejo’s oldest winemaking traditions. The Élevage Tinto 2022 is produced from selected Alicante Bouschet, fermented initially in lagares before completing fermentation and undergoing 12 months’ ageing in clay amphora. It is intense and precise, combining ripe red and dark fruit, spice, herbal freshness and the distinctive earthy character contributed by the amphora. The Élevage Branco 2022, produced from Antão Vaz and Perrum, is manually harvested and matured for 12 months in amphora with bâtonnage.
