Matarromera Reserva 2020 – D.O. Ribera del Duero An elegant and powerful Reserva from Bodega Matarromera, one of the best-known modern estates of Ribera del Duero, situated in Valbuena de Duero, in the heart of this celebrated Spanish wine region. Produced from 100% Tempranillo, the 2020 Reserva undergoes 18 months of ageing in French and American oak barrels, followed by further maturation in bottle before release. The wine displays an intense cherry-red colour and a complex aromatic profile combining ripe red and dark fruits with vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa, leather, liquorice and mineral nuances. The palate is structured yet silky, with mature fruit, integrated oak and a long, elegant finish. The 2020 vintage received 92 points from Guía Peñín and 92 points from Tim Atkin, reinforcing its position as a classic expression of mature Ribera del Duero Reserva.
