The 1978 Pétrus is one of the legendary wines of Pomerol, Bordeaux, produced almost entirely from Merlot grown on the estate’s unique blue clay soils. Although 1978 was a challenging vintage in many parts of Bordeaux, Pétrus produced a wine of remarkable concentration, elegance, and longevity. Today it is highly sought after by collectors due to its rarity and historical significance.
