CR&F XO Fine & Rare – Aguardente Vínica Velha – Old Brandy – 70cl – Luxury Presentation Case

An exceptional Portuguese old wine brandy from Carvalho, Ribeiro & Ferreira (CR&F), a historic house founded in 1895. CR&F XO Fine & Rare was conceived as a prestige expression of Portuguese aguardente, created through a meticulous selection of old stocks. The producer states that the blend incorporates aguardentes of different ages, with the principal component aged for more than 40 years. The spirits mature over long periods in carefully selected oak, bringing together concentration, complexity and the traditional character of fine Portuguese aguardente. Each annual lot is deliberately different, making individual releases distinct rather than maintaining an identical blend year after year. The first release was particularly scarce, with 1,510 individually numbered bottles produced. The aromatic profile combines dried fruits, toasted nuts, vanilla, caramel and spices, with a rich, silky palate and a long, elegant finish. The expression has received 19/20 from Grandes Escolhas.
