An attractive original three-bottle wooden case of Passadouro Reserva 2017, a distinguished red from Portugal’s Douro Valley. Presented as 3 × 750 ml bottles in the original branded Passadouro wooden case, this is an especially appealing format for collectors, cellaring or enjoying as the wine continues to mature. Produced from traditional Douro grape varieties, Passadouro Reserva reflects the character of vineyards around Pinhão in the Cima Corgo, at the heart of one of Portugal’s most celebrated wine regions. The 2017 vintage displays concentrated dark and wild berry fruit accompanied by spice, mineral nuances and integrated oak. The palate is full-bodied and structured, balancing ripe fruit with freshness, firm tannins and a long, persistent finish. Now approaching a decade from vintage, the wine offers the opportunity to experience a mature Douro Reserva while retaining the structure for further bottle development.
