An exceptional bottle of Pêra-Manca Tinto 2011, one of Portugal’s most prestigious and internationally recognized red wines, produced by Fundação Eugénio de Almeida at Adega Cartuxa in Évora, Alentejo. The 2011 was produced from Aragonez and Trincadeira, selected from mature vineyard parcels. Fermentation took place in French oak vats, followed by extended post-fermentation maceration and approximately 18 months of maturation in French oak, before further bottle ageing in the cellars of the Mosteiro da Cartuxa. The vintage received 94 points from both The Wine Advocate and Wine Enthusiast. This particular example is numbered bottle N.º 15048 and retains its Cartuxa authentication/security strip and capsule. The bottle and labels present extremely well in the supplied photographs.
