One of Portugal’s most distinctive and historically important wines, Buçaco Tinto Reservado was created as the house wine of the legendary Palace Hotel do Bussaco and for decades was closely associated with the hotel’s dining rooms and distinguished guests. Produced by Alexandre de Almeida Hotels, Buçaco follows an unusually traditional style, historically combining fruit from the Bairrada and Dão regions. The red is principally associated with varieties including Baga and Touriga Nacional, producing a structured, long-lived wine specifically renowned for its ability to develop for decades in bottle. The 2015 Tinto Reservado is particularly well regarded. Garrafeira Nacional records the vintage at 92/100 from Robert Parker, while Brazilian specialist Mistral currently identifies the same 2015 as a rare release and cites 94 Robert Parker points
