Pêra-Manca is regarded as the flagship wine of the Alentejo and one of Portugal’s greatest reds. Produced only in vintages that meet the estate’s strict quality standards, it is made primarily from Aragonez (Tempranillo) and Trincadeira. The 1997 vintage has had nearly three decades to mature, developing complex aromas of dried black fruit, leather, cedar, tobacco, spice, and earthy notes, while still retaining remarkable structure and elegance.
