Herdade do Rocim – Vinha da Micaela 2021 An exceptional single-vineyard red from Vidigueira in the Alentejo, produced by Herdade do Rocim from the tiny Vinha da Micaela, a vineyard covering just 3,600 m². Made from an extraordinary field blend of more than 20 traditional grape varieties, including Moreto, Trincadeira, Tinta Grossa and Alicante Bouschet. Fermentation takes place in traditional clay amphorae (talha), followed by ageing in talha and French oak, creating a wine of remarkable depth, freshness and complexity. The 2021 vintage combines concentrated dark fruit, spice and earthy mineral character with refined tannins and a long, elegant finish. A highly distinctive expression of old-vine Alentejo and one of Herdade do Rocim’s premium limited-production wines.

André Bicho
Raised in Portugal and educated in the United States, André has spent two decades moving between cultures, languages and cellars. His passion for fine wine and spirits began with the great Ports and table wines of his home country and grew into a wider fascination with the craft, history and provenance behind every great bottle. When he isn’t tasting or sourcing, he can be found driving the back roads of Europe in search of small producers and the stories behind their labels.
