Caymus Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 – A Napa Valley Icon Few names are as immediately associated with rich, powerful Napa Valley Cabernet as Caymus Vineyards. Founded in 1972 by Chuck Wagner and his parents, Charlie and Lorna Belle Wagner, Caymus grew from a family farming tradition in Napa Valley dating back generations. The historic Wagner family photograph appearing on the back of this bottle pays tribute to that heritage. The 2021 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from Cabernet Sauvignon grown across Napa Valley, drawing fruit from different areas of the valley to create the lush, generous house style for which Caymus has become famous. Deep and concentrated, the 2021 offers abundant blackberry, cassis and ripe dark fruit, complemented by notes of vanilla, cocoa, sweet spice and oak. The palate is full-bodied and opulent, with polished tannins and the rich, immediately approachable character that has made Caymus one of America’s most recognizable Cabernet Sauvignons. Awarded 92 points by Wine Spectator, the 2021 combines Napa Valley concentration with a plush, hedonistic style and considerable ageing potential.
