An outstanding vintage of one of Portugal’s most prestigious red wines, Quinta do Vale Meão 2020 comes from the historic estate established in the Douro Superior by legendary Portuguese wine figure Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira. Produced from a rigorous selection of grapes from the estate’s oldest vineyards, this flagship Douro combines Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca with smaller proportions of traditional Douro varieties. The 2020 displays remarkable concentration and freshness, with deep red and dark fruit, floral character, polished tannins and a remarkably persistent finish. A highly acclaimed vintage, receiving 100 points from Wine Enthusiast and 97 points from Robert Parker Wine Advocate, with considerable potential for further bottle development.
