Nikka Whisky From The Barrel – 750 ml – 51.4% – Japanese Blended Whisky

Nikka From The Barrel is one of the most recognizable high-strength blends from Japan’s Nikka Whisky Distilling Co. Created to capture the intensity and richness normally experienced when tasting whisky directly from the cask, it combines multiple malt and grain whiskies. After blending, the components undergo an additional period of “marriage” in used casks to integrate the flavours before bottling at a powerful 51.4% ABV. Nikka describes a profile of gentle peat and malt, a rich structured palate and a long finish with fruit and spice. Its minimalist square bottle was deliberately designed to resemble a “small block of whisky.”
