Released exactly fifty years after the revolution, Cravo do Sul was produced in only 1,974 individually numbered bottles worldwide—a direct reference to the year that transformed modern Portugal. The edition proved exceptionally sought-after, selling out shortly after its release. The gin itself was specially conceived for the occasion. At 50% ABV, it incorporates clove, cinnamon blossom and other botanicals chosen to evoke the imagery and spirit of the Carnation Revolution. Its remarkable presentation is equally significant.
