The blend is built around 1967 and 1978 Colheitas and elevated with 10% of an exceptionally old 1927 Colheita, resulting in a wine of remarkable age, rarity and complexity. After its prolonged maturation in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia, the wine displays a beautiful amber colour and an intensely evolved aromatic profile of old oak, cedar, nutmeg, dried fruits and subtle citrus freshness. The palate is concentrated yet elegant, combining dried fruit and liquorice with impressive structure and an exceptionally long, persistent finish.
