Taberna dos Cabrões Special Edition – Quinta da Arrancada Reserva 2022 & Herdade do Freixo Reserva 2021 – 2 Bottles

A distinctive two-bottle Portuguese wine presentation featuring custom Taberna dos Cabrões labels, from the well-known restaurant in São Francisco, Alcochete. The lot combines two Reserva reds from different Portuguese wine regions: Quinta da Arrancada Reserva 2022 – DOC Beira Interior Produced by Quinta da Arrancada in the Beira Interior. The 2022 Reserva is a blend of Syrah, Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez and Touriga Nacional, at 14.5% ABV. The wine undergoes a short period of oak ageing and shows fresh red fruit, cherry and blackberry notes with spice and a persistent finish. Production of the regular 2022 Reserva is reported at 14,500 bottles. Herdade do Freixo Reserva 2021 – Alentejo Produced at Herdade do Freixo in Redondo. The 2021 Reserva combines 45% Touriga Nacional, 30% Alicante Bouschet and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, followed by 12 months in new oak and at least 12 months of bottle maturation. Production of the standard 75cl release was 21,600 bottles. What makes this particular lot unusual is its presentation: both bottles carry Taberna dos Cabrões artwork rather than their standard commercial front labels, including the photographic portrait label on the Herdade do Freixo and illustrated label on the Quinta da Arrancada. The lot is accompanied by the wooden Taberna dos Cabrões presentation case shown in the photographs. An unusual Portuguese restaurant-related presentation combining two regional Reserva wines and strong visual character, particularly suited to collectors of special labels, Portuguese gastronomy memorabilia and distinctive wine presentations.
