Fogueira 2004 – Quinta das Bágeiras An exceptionally rare Bairrada red from acclaimed producer Quinta das Bágeiras and winemaker Mário Sérgio Alves Nuno. Produced from Baga grown on the region’s traditional clay-limestone soils, the wine was fermented in small lagares without destemming, matured in seasoned wooden vats, and bottled without fining or filtration. The 2004 Fogueira has developed remarkable maturity while retaining the structure, acidity and character for which great Baga is renowned. Aromas of dried fruit, cedar and smoky notes lead to a powerful, structured palate with firm tannins and impressive persistence.
