A special anniversary release from Brugal, one of the historic names of Dominican rum, founded in 1888. Leyenda Edición 5 Aniversario was created as a special edition of Brugal Leyenda and as a tribute to founder Don Andrés Brugal Montaner. It is produced from a selection of aged rums and undergoes a distinctive double-maturation process. The rum is initially matured in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, followed by further maturation in European oak casks previously used for Oloroso Sherry. This secondary maturation contributes additional richness, dried-fruit character and complexity. Deep amber with reddish reflections, its profile combines wood, dried and dark fruits, honey, caramel and Sherry-influenced notes, with a smooth, persistent finish.
