Casa Ferreirinha Barca-Velha 2015 — 3 Bottles in Original Wooden Case An exceptional collector’s lot comprising three bottles of Casa Ferreirinha Barca-Velha 2015, presented together in their original Casa Ferreirinha wooden case (OWC). Barca-Velha is one of the great icons of Portuguese wine and the flagship expression of Casa Ferreirinha. Produced only in years when the estate determines that the wine has the structure, complexity and extraordinary ageing potential required to carry the Barca-Velha name, the 2015 represents only the 21st declared vintage since the inaugural 1952. Produced from selected Douro grapes, the 2015 combines remarkable concentration with elegance and freshness. The bouquet develops layers of ripe red and black fruit, spice, cedar, tobacco, balsamic notes and subtle floral nuances. The palate is structured yet refined, with polished tannins, excellent acidity, impressive depth and an exceptionally long, complex finish. Barca-Velha is renowned for its ability to evolve gracefully over several decades, making the 2015 particularly attractive both to serious collectors and lovers of Portugal’s finest wines. The presence of three 750ml bottles together in the original branded wooden case further enhances the presentation and collectability of this lot.
