An exceptionally rare 5-litre large-format bottle of Quinta da Leda 2010, presented in its impressive original Casa Ferreirinha wooden case. Quinta da Leda is one of the flagship red wines of Casa Ferreirinha, produced from the house’s important Douro Superior estate and closely connected with the winemaking heritage behind Barca Velha. The 2010 is based on the classic Douro varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, producing a concentrated, structured wine with ripe red and dark fruit, floral and balsamic notes, cedar, spice and tobacco character, followed by a long, persistent finish. Contemporary tasting notes describe the 2010 as powerful yet balanced, with substantial structure and freshness. The vintage was particularly successful critically. Wine Enthusiast awarded Quinta da Leda 2010 94 points, while the Decanter World Wine Awards named it the best Douro wine above £15 at the 2013 competition. What makes this example particularly collectible is the format: 5 litres, equivalent to approximately 6⅔ standard 75cl bottles, housed in a dedicated Casa Ferreirinha wooden presentation case. 5 liters
