GIN SUL Cravo do Sul – 50th Anniversary Carnation Revolution – 1 of 1,974 – 2024 A highly collectible limited edition from Gin Sul, created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Portugal’s historic Carnation Revolution of 25 April 1974. Released exactly fifty years after the revolution, Cravo do Sul was produced in only 1,974 individually numbered bottles worldwide—a direct reference to the year that transformed modern Portugal. The edition proved exceptionally sought-after, selling out shortly after its release. The gin itself was specially conceived for the occasion. At 50% ABV, it incorporates clove, cinnamon blossom and other botanicals chosen to evoke the imagery and spirit of the Carnation Revolution. Its remarkable presentation is equally significant. The bottle is wrapped in a newspaper-inspired design recalling Portuguese reporting surrounding the events of April 1974, while the natural cork is crowned by a specially produced Portuguese ceramic stopper marked “74.” A fascinating intersection of Portuguese history, contemporary spirits craftsmanship and collectible bottle design. 500ml | 50% ABV | Limited to 1,974 bottles | Released 2024
