A distinctive Portuguese craft gin produced by DestilReal in Santo Isidro de Pegões, in Portugal’s Setúbal region. Real Gin was born from a family project, with its name paying tribute to the historic Estrada Real – the former name of the road where the distillery is located. The Classic expression is produced using a complex combination of 13 botanicals, including juniper, orange, lemon, lemon verbena, coriander seed, ginger, allspice, pink pepper, peach, physalis and vanilla. Fresh citrus and lemon verbena lead the aromatic profile, followed by the characteristic presence of juniper, ginger and pepper on the palate. Peach and physalis contribute softer fruit notes, while vanilla provides additional roundness. The expression has also received international recognition, including Gold at The Global Luxury Masters 2017, Silver at The Spirits Business 2017 and Silver at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2018.
