Antónia Adelaide Ferreira (“Ferreirinha”) in the late 19th century. The property has exceptional historical importance: its grapes once formed an important component of the original Barca Velha wines before the estate established Quinta do Vale Meão as its own flagship label. The 2015 vintage is a powerful yet refined Douro red, produced from traditional varieties including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and other indigenous grapes. It combines concentrated dark fruit with floral notes, spice, minerality and finely structured tannins, showing the depth and elegance for which Vale Meão has become internationally recognized.
