Dona Dorinda Pixie Tinto 2023 – 100% Syrah – Alentejo – Organic Wine – 75cl

Pixie Tinto 2023 is an organic Alentejo red produced by Dona Dorinda at Quinta Nossa Senhora da Conceição, near Estremoz. The Pixie range takes its name from the affectionate nickname given to Dorinda, owner of the estate, with the fairy artwork reflecting the range’s themes of nature, lightness and individuality. Produced entirely from Syrah, the wine undergoes partial carbonic maceration (around 30%). Following alcoholic fermentation, it spends 12 months in used 500-litre Hungarian oak barrels, where it also completes malolactic fermentation. The result is an expressive red showing violet and floral notes alongside ripe red fruit, wild berries and cinnamon, complemented by subtle balsamic and smoky notes from the oak. The palate is juicy and lively, combining depth with elegance. Grandes Escolhas rated the 2023 17/20.
