Jupiter Code 0.1 2015 is the inaugural release of Wines From Another World, an ultra-limited fine-wine project conceived around a collection of extraordinary wines representing the planets of the Solar System. Produced in Portugal’s Alentejo in collaboration with Herdade do Rocim and winemaker Pedro Ribeiro, Jupiter originates from the tiny Vinha Micaela, a 0.36-hectare parcel of old vines planted with a traditional field blend including Moreto, Trincadeira, Tinta Grossa, Alicante Bouschet and numerous other indigenous varieties. The 2015 harvest was fermented using traditional Portuguese clay amphorae. One exceptional talha was selected for Jupiter, with the wine remaining in clay for an extraordinary 48 months before further maturation in bottle. Only 800 bottles were produced. Jupiter was released in 2021, immediately establishing itself among Portugal’s most expensive dry wines. The bottle offered here retains its elaborate original Wines From Another World presentation case and documentation, as photographed.
