Ravasqueira Premium Alicante Bouschet 2014 – Limited Production of 6,686 Bottles – Alentejo – 750ml

An exceptional limited-production red from Monte da Ravasqueira, the 2014 Premium Alicante Bouschet represents a unique chapter in the estate’s history. Produced exclusively from 100% Alicante Bouschet, the fruit came from just over three hectares of vineyard. The exceptional balance achieved by the variety in the 2014 vintage allowed Ravasqueira to produce just 6,686 bottles of this special cuvée. The wine underwent an extended maturation of 28 months in French oak barrels followed by 12 months in bottle, creating a powerful, deeply structured Alentejo red designed for long-term ageing. Ravasqueira originally indicated that it could evolve positively for approximately 20 years. Deeply coloured and concentrated, it combines ripe dark fruit with firm tannins, pronounced structure and characteristic fresher notes reminiscent of green herbs and pine, while the extended French-oak maturation contributes considerable complexity and length. The 2014 received 93 points from Wine Enthusiast, which highlighted its density, rich texture and black-plum character.
